Introducing the quick and easy way to make Rhizo Funga's Five Star Agar Plates. We pre-measured and mixed all the ingredients, so you can just add water, mix, sterilize and pour. We created this mix for beginners who may not have all the raw ingredients and equipment and for professionals who would prefer to skip this step. Makes 500ml of Agar Solution, enough for 15-20 90mmx15mm Agar Plates.

Ingredients
Agar Agar Powder, Light Malt Extract Powder, Activated Charcoal Powder, Nutritional Yeast Powder, Peptone. *Does not include Petri Dishes
Directions
- Bring 500ml what to a boil
- Combine boiling what with Five-Star Agar Plate Mix in a 1000ml glass media bottle or Mason Jar with lid)
- Mix well with a wisk, magnetic stirrer, frother or secure lid and shake - If mixture is not already contained within a glass media bottle, transfer to a sterilization safe container that can hold at least double the mixture i.e 1000ml
- Secure and back off cap 1/4 turn, so pressure can escape media bottle
- Pressure cook / Sterilize for 30 mins at 15psi
- In a sterile environment, pour solution into 90mmx15mm petri dishes at around 130F. Filling each dish between 1/3 to 1/2 makes around 15-20 agar plates
- Allow to cool. Stacking plates while cooling can help eliminate/reduce condensation. The idea is to cool as slow as possible, so shuffling the order of stacked plates helps with this as well
- if not used immediately, place in air tight package/ container and store in refrigerator for up to 6-12 months.
